Ive google about for a bit and theres various reports over the years of test cards being picked up etc, and also people slamming the idea saying the sats are below the horrizon.

Out of interest thou who here thinks this would be possible if cost / clearance was no object, and the kit was imported, actived etc from the states. I imagine the location would need to be the edge of Ireland / Teneriffe and the dish size anywhere from 4 metres up? But is this technically possible? Has anyone here seen such an installation?

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

Simple answer, no, you won't get it... :)

Also, take note of the announcement at the top of every section of the forum:

NO KEYS, BIN FILES, OR HEX FILES TO BE POSTED, NO CABLE TALK, NO BELL, DISH NETWORK North America or DirecTV TALK

Most of the sats are below the horizon, although one or two of their most easterly are indeed just about visible. They are all firing into continental yankland on shaped beams so reception of the tv channels is going to be impossible. The best anyone has ever done in Europe as far as I can remember is one solitary testcard

However as 2CV says discussion of Dish USA or DirectTV is not permitted on this forum so I'll close the discussion :)
