Disable sound on satmeter

Hello,

I have recently bought and set-up my own satellite system and could not have managed without the help and advice from this site.

I am unable to have a permanent installation and therefore have my dish aiming out the window in the conservatory of my rented home.

I would like to leave the sat meter connected at all times, so that I can re-adjust if necessary, but the sat meter that I have makes an annoying high pitched tone. Is it possible to disable the sound?

The meter is a SLX Analogue Satellite Finder.

All help or advice greatly appreciated.

I'm sure it could be jobbed somehow, but I'm equally sure your skill and art at aligning the Dish within seconds without a Meter at all will quickly become the stuff of legends.

Lots of folk with "portable" dishes seem to develop a ninth sense about these things.
