There is a guy here in The Paphos region of Cyprus offering a "dish mod" for the BADR problem.
The "mod" appears to consist of attaching a thin piece of galvanised steel plate, approximately 1mm thick and the size of an A3 sheet, to the face of the dish.
I have no idea if or how this can work. Any ideas? Or is it a scam?
It is compounded by the fact that the attachment is not always on the same side of the dish.
On some dishes it is on the left, on some on the right.
To be fair, the people I have spoken to who have had it done are very happy and it has all but eliminated their break up problems on BBC1 and BBC2! This is on marginal (2.7M) dishes that have been previously "optimised" by other supposedly reputable engineers who failed to fix the problem.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
