Hi,

I have an Optibox Exta HDMI PVR Ready satellite receiver and an 3-4 year old dish motor. (Price 70-80 €)
This satellite receiver i bought 3 days ago and he doesn't rotate my dish.
Before this I had an Strong STR and it worked great 'till he got damaged.
So I've gone to the Optibox (Digitalis) service and the guy who worked there conected it to another motor and it worked.

So is it possible that my motor is INCOMAPTIBLE with my Sat receiver and can I make it work any way.

Please help me to make it work..... if its possible

THX for every answer

You don't say what the damage to the previous receiver was so it's possible the motor might also be damaged.

Is it possible for you to try another receiver on the motor?

@PaulR

At the moment its not possible that I try another receiver on the motor. And it may be possible that the damage could be on the motor too but it's not very plausible couse the damage wasn't phisical but the software or something.

@sandboy

I really don't know.
But here is a picture of it. (selfmade)...

Hi mate, I didn't reply to you because I have never seen a motor like that before?
Please let us know what the problem was and what you did to fix it.

Ok no prob....

So, my motor do not react to the DiSEqC positioner commands (manual movement left right with Remote controler arows) so i have changed the positoner type to USALS and typed in the coordinates from MY house. (I have found my coordinates with help of goolge Earth)
It didn't worked, so i experimated with the DiSEqC SW (switch) controls and then suddenly my dish moved so I decided to concentrate on this function and it worked.

I can now watch Astra 1 and Eurobird, but the problem now is that i have done all this to be able to watch EUTELSAT W2 !
When I change the satellite to eutelsat w2 it moves over it and the quality level indicator glows but the dish keeps moving a litle bit so that the signal goes lost.

I am going crazy !

Please if you can HELP ME !

I am pretty lost by here, the motor does not respond to diseqC motor control commands, or usals but the motor moves when you set it up to control it as diseq switch?
How did your strong receiver work it?
Hopefully another member here will recognize this motor and reciever and be able to help.

If you want I can post a picture of my receiver too.

OK my strong str worked so that the motor doesn't reacted to the DiSEqC movement controls but the moved the dish when I change the satellite. I couldn't move it manually with the RC arows but the dish moved when I changed the satellite and so it worked very well.
