Hi wizzz0 and welcome to the forum,

When I first set up a motorised system I used a similar mount with a 60cm dish. It wasn't a particular problem but if you then try to upgrade and fix a 1m and a motor on the end you will have problems with the mount flexing vertically, which of course throws you off the arc.

It's far better to use T&K's and a substantial pole. More work to erect perhaps but far less headache in the long run.

You dont want to use one of those L- mounts - they have far too much bounce in them. Do it properly with T&K brackets.

right will do the problem im having as soon as i put the dish and motor on its not vertical anymore ill see if i can get some money back towards some t & k brackets

thanks for you help

Yes, the weight of the motor/dish throws the mount off. They are ok for small dishes but not ideal for motorised.

these mounts are not very well made and can snap at the weld as said above, no good for big dish especially with motor.
