I have just had one given me does anyone know anything about them is it for the bin or worth having a play with please ?.

lol I was just on the steps messing with my dish and a neighbor said he had a receiver if I wanted it, I will try the museum then rolfw it might be worth a furtune :-)

I tried several times to get a reply from the vintage museum as I had an ancient receiver a few years ago. They never bothered to reply so it went into the electronics scrap bin up the tip

I had a load of old BSB SMATV stuff that i offered them, they never even had the decency to reply when i asked them if they wanted it.

They obviously have enough old satellite tatt to keep themselves happy.

That Diskxpress takes me back to the days when I used to read What Satellite. Didn't it originally also come with a rectangular dish? I'm sure this is the kind of dish they used to sell with it:

And a quick suggestion on long links like that, try using TinyURL.com, makes it so much neater having a short link rather than a really long one...
