The amount of times, i've heard mates in the pub, say that if their son/daughter turned out to be mature content they would disown them..........
:eek:WHAT.....??????

This got me thinking....................

Ok...you may not be happy.......in fact, you may be quite p*ssed off about about it (depending on the severity of your views)......

It's never happened to me with my son, but what if it did with yours....?????

Where would you draw the line....????????

1) Upon introduction, would you shake the boyfriends hand.....???????

2) Would you enjoy your sunday dinner in the same way, with him sitting there...????????

3) And of course the ultimate dilemma...............If your son asked if they could 'stay for the night' .......... ......What would be the answer...???????

For me........I'd find it completely gutting.........BUT he would still be my son ......and i'd love him as such.......................

Interesting.............

Would I shake their hand,-- Yes.

Would I enjoy my sunday dinner,- Yes

Could they stay the Night,-NO!

I believe people should be able to live within the law how they want, but not under my roof.

I'll cross that bridge and answer if I ever find I need to

This is a hard one, but the answers are these:

1)Why wouln't you want to shake a mature content mans hand, because of what he touched previously? I would shake his hand - but i would wash it afterwards :) - as a matter of fact I always wash my hand when entering my home, before and after meals, toilets, etc., so not necessarily to do with his gayness. To be honest, I reckon mature content men are probably cleaner and are more likely to have wahsed their hands than a big fat hairy greasy builder or trucker coming out of a motorway restroom. Would not shake his hand ):
2) Would you enjoy your sunday dinner in the same way, with him sitting there...? Well, if he is interesting and polite, I suppose I would enjoy it the same way I enjoy any of my kids friends. If however he would be one of those camp type gays, or wearing dog collars and spiky leather straps hanging from his pierced nipples and see-through cowboy pants I think I would have a bit of an uncomfortable feeling. Or if they were to start sticking their tongues in each others ears I would have problems swallowing my food.
3) If your son asked if they could 'stay for the night' - it would have to be yes, because I prefer them to be in my house and not jumping out of bushes in the local park. Depending on age, we might offer him the guest room - I remember quite a few girlfriend parents when I was 16, 17 etc who made me sleep in the guest room...

All in all my kids will always be my kids, under almost all circumstances - unless they do something terrible to another family member. Will I be happy if any of them is mature content? I probably would not, I want to have grand children but then I could envisage other situations related to religion or
politics or profession which would be more unpleasant than a mature content child. And to finish it off, my in laws are not too happy about the choice my wife did - and I am not mature content and I got a steady income. I guess a high percentage of in laws aren't happy about the choice of their kids partners in any case, regardless of mature content or not. So....
