My remote control for my receiver does not seem to be working. When I press any button on the remote nothing happens at all expect when I press either the "DREAM" or "TV" buttons they light up red so I know the remote has power to it. I tried rebooting the dreambox and that did nothing.

If anyone has any idea it would be great, thanks.
 
It could be a knackered crystal or ir led, even a cracked pcb.
It'll probably be cheaper to buy a new one for less than £10 from ebay.
 
Theres an easy way to see if the remote is working - point the led at digital camera or camera phone and press a button. If the led lights up you will see it on the viewfinder.
