DM 800HD Wont switch on, Please someone help

Hi

I have DM 800HD which won't switch on.

I can see the network lights are on and i can here the fan turning.

When i press the on off button, nothing happens.

OLED display is blank.

It was working fine this morning.

Thank you for your help
 
Could be the tuner. If you open the box, and remove the tuner, then switch it on, if it comes on then the tuner is gone, or try and re-seat it.
 
The 5volt regulator has failed It steps down from 12volt to 5volt. It is located on the underside of the board and is marked U22. Depends which version board you have, it could have 5 legs or 7 legs and is LM2599S for 7 leg. If you are unlucky it might have also a dead LT1940 which is U6.

Have you tried this, with the power off hold the on/off button in and turn on the power and wait till the searching for dhcp comes on then release the on/off button.
 
have had the same problem on dm800s a couple of times, try pushing the ac power lead in a liitle harder a few times worked for me could be dry solder
 
plug in and unplug 3 times in quick succession.

on the 3rd time , leave the power connected.

try that.
