DM500HD and Esata with Gemini 5

Hi there,

I have a problem,

I have the DM500HD and i installed gemini 5 on it along with an esata ext. hdd. I need to know how to go in and initialize the disk in order to start recording on it. If i go to menu/setup/ etc I cannot see the HDD. Could anyone please help me?

Hi had the same hd would not show in device manager, checked that the hd was self powered etc, it turned out to be the drive itself made by western digital 'my book essential' turns out from searching the web that the esata lead cut out is not wide enough and very few plugs engage properly, i made the hole bigger and the plug now fits snug rebooted hard disk found job done.
