Hi all
I have DM500S and I want to use it as a cable receiver with the local cable TV operator which offer free digital channels.
Are there any tricks on how to use it or I have to buy DM500C?
Here are some channel details:
1. Freq.: 730000, Symbol Rate: 6900, QAM: 256
2. Freq.: 714000, Symbol Rate: 6900, QAM: 256
3. Freq.: 418000, Symbol Rate: 6900, QAM: 256
4. Freq.: 538000, Symbol Rate: 6900, QAM: 256

any help is appreciated :)

You would need a new tuner to convert it to cable which would cost more than a new stb....simples

You can't change the tuner on a DM500s unless you are good with a soldering iron. Best just to buy a dedicated cable receiver.

If that's the case look into installing a T55-T90 :)
