dm800,28.2 east & 5.1 sound help...

hi,
i have the tv connected to the dm800 through the hdmi,all is good.i am installing 5.1 surround sound in room,i connected to old home theatre receiver(scart for dvd+coaxial for sound) dvd all is good 5.1.i know scart cannot do hd,so dm800 is still connected to the tv through hdmi,but i added an optical link from dm800 to old home theatre receiver to test for 5.1 broadcasts,but all i seem to get is stereo.
so before i fork out on a new hdmi home theatre amp,has anyone else got a dm800 running through a home theatre amp & getting 5.1 on 28.2 east?

Which channels have you been trying to get 5.1 on?

it's okay ,sorted it,i had the ac3 to downmix set to on in blackhole image.
what a difference in 5.1.lovely.
