DM800 motor setup

My Satellite Setup
Orbital 80cm Dish,
Inverto 'Black Series' 0.2dB Twin LNB,
Moteck DiSEqC 1.2 motor,
Dreambox 500s

I have just installed pli jade 3 on the DM800 and coming from the dm500 I am lost. I am not sure how to setup the system so it know I have a motor and if it is working in the 800 use usals for positioning. I don't mind manually storing sat positions but I can't find where to do it as it is very different menu system from the dm 500. Is there a guide or some decent instructions on how to setup.

Image dependent, you can either use simple satellite or advanced for positioning under tuner configuration, both should have the USALs option.
 
Hi Pal

I set it up as simple and choose positioner and the dish doesn't move even goto 0 etc don't work. I have tried advance and I haven't got a clue what settings to use. The only way I can get it to work is as a fixed dish setup by choosing simple and then the sat as 28.2e.
The image is Pli Jade 3 and the sat and motor are listed to the left under name.

If you go to ''Configuration Mode'' and choose 'Simple' as you yourself said.....and ''Mode'' as 'Positioner'. all you have to insert is your 'Longitude' and 'Latitude' and press 'OK', and you will have Usals working.

I have tried this and my sat was pointing at 28.2e and on a working channel, but soon as I choose positioner and put in my long/lat then channel stops working and the motor will not move East/west/goto 0 etc.
I put a ladder up and the on light goes out when I choose positioner, if I choose single then the light is on.

I have tried 3 different images to rule that out as being the problem, what else can I try to get this working.

You definetely have something wrong...I have an 800HD (as many other people do) and I am using Usals and I don't have any trouble at all....I just flash the box configure it as it should be, and thats it. By any chance is your Box a Clone because in that case you have to apply the patched Images and not the originals.
 
It is a clone and has been flashed with BL72 patched images, I think it is a voltage problem with the clone. Will put a volt meter to check the out put.

I had another play and found something quiet strange, if I go to satfinder then the light on the motor lights up and if I quickly move to positioner setup I can move the dish sometimes. Going to manual scan seems to do nothing sometimes the motor light stays on.
I remember when I setup the dish first time round with the dm500 the motor had power all the time so it seems that the dm800 only gives power to the motor sometimes.
I will hopefully rma the box and hopefully it won't cost a fortune to post to china.
