- 2 x DM800HD (Genuine in UK, Clone in SA); Virus-free, open source Linux (openSuSE 12.3 and Ubuntu 13.04) PCs (home and office).

I know there's been talk of a future 'Idiots Guide' for the DM800 but I can't find anything that answers my questions...
Had a clone DM500 and all worked well (with ccCam.cfg loaded) until it died from the dreaded 'timebomb'. I have since purchased a genuine DM800 (PLi Lite Enigma 2) but the handbook omits to cover aspects such as Set Up>Service Searching>Tuner Config/Default Services/Fast Scan etc etc. Eg. Fast Scan Provider lists what I assume are European services - Canal Digital, Telesat etc. Is this relevant?
I've managed to scan the local service on 68.5E and list all available channels, but I am far from sure my LNB settings are correct, for example (using Inveto Unicable), particularly as I want to view HD. Non-encrypted services are now working.
The known good ccCam.cfg is loaded in /VAR/ but no joy. Maybe I am missing some other files?
