I have a problem, but I don't know whether the problem lies with my 2week old Diseqc motor (I had the same problem with the old motor), or with my Silvercrest satellite receiver, or could it just be something I'm doing wrong.

I have quite a few satelite positions saved on my system, from 53 East to 61 West, when the system isn't being used, I unplug it from the mains, when I plug the system in again, I find most of the satellite positions in memory have moved, usually to the East, by anything from 3 to 15 degrees.

I regard this behaviour as a nuisance, but is this normal. Should I leave the system plugged in all the time, or is there a cure?

Please answer as I'm beginning to look like Marty Feldman and I don't know whether I'm coming or going.

Sounds like the receiver is losing track of where it has sent the motor on restarting, perhaps going into the DiseqC menu and sending the motor to the reference point after restart may solve the problem.

Thanks for your answer Rolfw, that sounds like it could be the answer to my problems.

Pedro2000uk, Thank you also, I use it on diseqc 1.2.
