Hi there – I would like to see Hispasat 1C/D channels – do I need a special LNB? Or will a regular 0.2dB do?

ALSO – I badly need some guidance on finding a satellite: does 30W mean ’30 degrees west from south’? i.e., do you begin south, and then turn 30 degrees in a westerly direction?

If so, then would the diagram suggest that my house (black circle) cannot get a clear path to a 30W satellite if the dish is attached to the front wall ? how reliable are chimney installations? :D
thanks

hi there, no special lmb required, but why hispasat? unless you have
an official card the sat is dark, no keys.
yes is 30 from south. a motorise set-up would be the way to go.
be lucky.

What are you wanting to watch?? Your thread title mentions c-band - no c-band on 30W!

Well as there isn't any C-Band on 30W, then I guess that must be an error, from North London, a 60cm dish will get you everything on the European beam. Is that a flat roofed extension on the back of the house, can it not sit on there?

DM800HD, DM7000 80GB HD with Asus WL330 wifi + 2GB usb drive, Skystar2.3, 2.2m Kinhuge Dish with Inverto LNB and Invacom ADF-120 feedhorn. Pace 1.3.25 and 80cm for Sky.

Lot, Dordogne, Correze border.
Put the dish on the extension, route the coax up the wall, through the loft, then down the other side.
