Do sky FTA cards go off when not used ?

My question is that sky (freesatfromsky) cards that give you C4 C5 and sky3 etc, do the keys change on them or do they just time out after a while?

I had 9 cards that worked all the FTV channels but now only 4 work, is there anyway to force an update to the cards ?

All sky cards receiver "stay alive" authorisation signals and time out after 6 weeks or so of not receiving an update.

As long as the cards havent been permanently deactivated by Sky they should reactivate eventually if left in a sky box or a dreambox running a recent version of CCCam.

(BTW theres no such thing as a Sky fta card - they are ftv cards - a subtle but important difference)

Yes leave them in a sky digibox 48 hours and they should update unless they have been tampered with ;)

You very often find C4 comes back on first - a couple of hours or so. C5 can take a couple of days.

Strange i am getting C5 but not C4 or Sky3 ?

When i tune to C4 on 10.729 it has no audio ??
