Does anyone use the more obscure boxes?

Does anyone use the like of:

Tanaka T22
Skybox A1 AVS
Starsat
Tiger
Redline

How do these boxes stack up against the 'normal' lot?

Not planning on buying any new boxes just genuinely interested to know if they are used 'this side of the world'
 
I have an old General Satellite 9300 in the loft somewhere. Was used by the now-defunct Platforma service. Was an OK receiver and some wizards even managed to get Enigma2 on it though it was pretty much unusable with that!
