No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

That is sad to hear, he was a classic comedian for sure, and Dad's Army wouldn't have been the same without him I'm sure... :(

He's probably up there right now pestering Arthur Lowe shouting "Don't panic Captain Mainwaring"... O-Ha

Indeed sad news. Had plenty of practice though for old age.

Yes very sad but a good innings, he seemed to be a perpetual pensioner from very early on in the many varied roles he played but will probably always be remembered for Dad's Army RIP Clive

Looking on IMDB, very few of the main regulars it seems:

Ian Lavender (Pike)
Bill Pertwee (Warden Hodges)
Frank Williams (Vicar)

A brilliant comic actor and, with the exception of his No 1 single, never failed to make me laugh.

He was a bit of a leftie though. IIRC when Margaret Thatcher was elected to power he left the UK and said he wouldn't come back until she was gone! Well, that one worked out well...

RIP Clive.

I saw the stage show of Dad's Army - Shaftesbury Lane theatre - when I was 12 years old. It didn't quite match the TV programme for humour though.
