Help Required Dr HD D15 signal issue

Been using the box for the last few days with no picture breakup, I'm guessing the previous breakup could have been down to birds on the arm and a coincidence.

I havnt turned the unit off over the weekend for testing, so its kept its ability to give a signal/picture. Will be fun and games when I turn it on after a state of inactivity, which is what gave me to problems at the start of the thread.

My best guess is the LNB is drifting off frequency when it cools down after a period of no voltage when your receiver is off. With keeping receiver on then LNB voltage is always present. Maybe your BSkyB box keeps the voltage to the LNB when in standby? Or is less susceptible to drift.

Sky boxes keep the lnb powered all the time, so they can download epg data and software etc.

That probably is the problem then Chris. Thanks for confirming.

Reasonably logical explanation but I have previously connected the receiver to my 19.2 lnb which is not plugged into anything normally so not in use for an extended period and the box didn't have any problems finding a signal and scanning?

Hmm, maybe your other receiver is not as sensitive to drift.....

Another seemingly baffling anonmoly.

Been using the box as normal until today.

After turning on I have a signal for 1 or 2 minutes then no signal. BSkyB box ok on the same feed.

I wonder if you guys can help again.
I havnt used my Dr HD D15 for a while which doesn't mean I want to use it because I do problem is it doesn't work.
It's not giving any signal in the menus but is in the sat finder and the beeper. I have tried multiple factory resets different firmware, writing a blank database, using a database with 2 satellites nothing works apart from if I make my way through the transponder list one will say signal, I can tune like 10 channels in (I think this is a database error) but then it would allow me to view anything, no signal. I know for sure 100 percent I have signal.
Any ideas?
