Hello,

I am in US at this time , I was wondering that if I take DB 500S to India will it work? some says it will and some says it will not !!! I am confused
any advice is welcome

I am also taking with me SG2100 HH motor for dish, and two Single ,lenier LNB, 1X4 switch , Rs232 Null cable

The mains voltage in the US is 110 VAC.
Check the power supply ratings.
 
A dreambox is 12V so you'll probably only need another power supply unit (the external PSU that supplies 12V).

You could always ask in the India section.

DreamBox 500 comes with dual Voltage ( 110-240 Volts ) in US here , only I am concern ,will it work ? and Patch support issue !!

Some time it comes with power aduptor for 240 Volt input .
my main concern is will it work ? and what about Patch support ?

any idea or help ?
 
The Dreambox is 12v; the PSU inputvoltage will be whatever your local supply is in - output is 12v. Change the PSU to suit where you are.

Look at the back of the 500s - it clearly says "DC 12V". Any 12v PSU will work (1.5A?).

you are right ,I will need conver tor 220 v t0 12 V Dc, I have anoither question
if I use dreambox 500S in India ,do I need "smart Card " to watch all chennel wide open ? or I will need proper programimg ? ( input of Bin and correct keys )

I suggest you ask in the Indian section what is open and what needs a sub card.
