dream box to computer

My Satellite Setup
core 2 duo 6300, dreambox 800hd,2.7mtr dish sky and ADMC sports
My Location
akrotiri, cyprus
hi this maybe a stupid question but i am getting a dreambox installed on monday and does it need to be conected to the computer directly or does it go into the wirelesss router its just that my router is near the TV and my computer is in the dining room.

Welcome to the forum :)

Connect it to your router using a CAT5 cable. Have you have a look at our Idiot's Guide (link in my sig)?
 
thanks for the reply yes i did have a look at the idiots guide but i must be a bigger idiot as it was straight over my head, i am getting it installed on monday by a satellite shop i was just wondering if i have to move my computer closer to the tv but i am glad that is not the case.

It makes a bit more sense when you have the box to play with. But not much :D
