My Satellite Setup
1.1m Triax dish, TM2300 motor. 2 x DM800HD, 1 DM500, 2 x Sly HD. 1 60cm fixed (Astra 2D).
My Location
Ireland
I am toying with the idea of going to the latest DreamElite image from BH.12. However, I have a few questions:

1) I see the latest supports USB DVBT addons, anyone know if a DVB-S(2) is on the way to make this a dual tuner box?
2) Did anyone who upgraded from BH.12 have to do anything with their BL or kernal drivers to make this work?
 
1. Who knows mate, maybe they will expand the support to S tuners.
2. Are you referring to a clone box here ? Dream Elite images carry the latest available drivers.

It works great, the old nabilo images have now been left way behind.
 
No harm in trying it. I have tried both the B/H and Gemini OE1.06 and they are both Ok. My box is an Original and I had no problem in upgrading and I did nothing as regards B/H or Kernil Drivers eveything is taken care. One thing you must make sure that you insert the Image in Flash only and once you map your drives e.g.Usb, leave your stick in USB 1 (for instance) don't insert it in USB 2. After mapping your drives you can install Meaboot from the Extensions.
 
DVB T support is only via USB, it is support that no one else offers.

What you have to remember is that in Italy there is a big market for DVB T support and of course Dream Elite are an Italian team.

The only official upgrades for the box are from DMM and there is plenty of info about the DM800SE.

There is no problem upgrading as long as your box is an original.

Hi B16MCC,

Are you saying DreamElite is the way to go now then?
 
What is meaboot (multiboot??) and does it have to be installed or will it work fine if just upgrading from BH v.12?

I think it's multi boot,I've never bothered with it so I'm only guessing but the DE image still runs fine without it
 
Meaboot is a cvs Image which will allow you to install other Images, besides the one already in Dream Box Flash. These other Images will be installed in yours Usb Pen Drive (must be inserted) so that on Boot up you will have the option to chose one of these installed Images
instead of the one in Flash. Although it comes part and parcel of the Actual Image t doesn't have to be installed if just upgrading from BH v.12. You can just upgrade to the other Image and thats it.
