Dream turning into nightmare

Hello, I have a DM 500s. I simply won't lock on to the C band (180cm dish) transmissions from intelsat 7/10. I have a fortec star as well at it works fine so dish and cable setup has been verified. The the DM500 unit is fine as it picks up the ku band transmissions on the 60 CM dish. Running latest PLi image. Have tried manual input with info from Lyn**sat.

Come on all you experts, someone has to have some idea as to why my low frequency signal has disappeared. Please guys help me here.

I'll be very surprised if you will find many members here who use a DM500 for C-band, as C-band is not commonly watched in Europe, in fact there are probably very few members of the forum watching C-band satellite TV.

My new machine just done the same to me today. After some searching I found this:

You can trick the DM7025 to tune C band by getting your calculator out and first placing 5150 minus the desired transponder eg 3800 which = 1350 then add this to the 9750 LNBF =11100 input this in the manual transponder setting and all the Symbol rate Pol and FEC then scan, the required C Band signal will then load.

The trick worked on my machine as well, even though somewhere else they said, that the DM 500 S already rectified this problem.

every cband tránsponder,is working finde,also on dm 500,i have the complete 68,5 intelsat 10 and 7 in the list!

when you cant tune,to some channels,for example the ary tv transponder, with the pakastane channel ++www.themusik.tv
that brings very good programm,you must,like i also replyed to other topics a couple of weeks ago,enter the symbolrate 5 digits higher then normal!
this strangly only some transponder needs,others work correct with there orginal freqency!

when you get no signal,in cband,check it least this 2 steps!
first,i recogneized,that all dreamboxes,change,the polarisation,from orginal,i dont know the reason H in Orginal for example is V and Via versa!
and last,not every channel in cband sending with invertasion ,some you must swtich on,and some off,to get a lock,on new dm 800 i can set the feature,to autoinversation,what,the dm 500 can not do!

and,when you lost some channels,please try this what i write above,when you have signal on other stbs then all is okay with your antenna,in afirca itself i hope the signal should be strong enough!
the satelite is old,and one panel is damage,and lost 25% of its power!

some transponder,are extrimly weak ,ujala tv,i have signal around a have year ago,now 3,70 m mesh would be needed!

the best signal i have in the morning time,and when its fogy and cold outside,during sunshine and clear sky signal is much lower!

Here's whats working on my Dreambox 500S with a Jade 3 PLi Image. I am In Cape Town, South Africa

Firstly, like you I have been struggling for weeks with the settings.

But some weeks later I have had some success!

Here are the settings

LOF1 - 5150
LOF2 - 5750
THRES - 11700

These settings are working for me currently and I am enjoying ARY Digital and so forth via my Dreambox.

Otherwise others have suggested the following, but for me they just did not work

LOF1 - 5150
LOF2 - 5150
THR - 0

or

LOF1 - 5150
LOF2 - 10700
THR - 11700

or

LOF1 - 5150
LOF2 - 5150
THR - 3400
