Dreambox 500s contol from PC ?

My Satellite Setup
1M Dish with Motek 2100,
DM 500 & DM 800HD, Vu+ Duo,
Digital+, Sky+, TDT, Saorview
My Location
Dublin
Hi,

Long story short I took my box to a different location and forgot the remote! I read I can control from my pc. Anyone tell me what I have to download. Not looking for remote viewing just wanna change channel.

You need Dreambox Control Centre (DCC)
Install it, Run it, click on Remote on top right hand side.
 
I have DCC already and when I click on the remote in the top right nothing happens. Its definitely connected up to the dreambox ok.
 
If you have the 500 and a PC on the same lan then simply type the IP address of the 500 into your browser and use the web interface to change channels etc.
 
Big virtual remote should pop up on left hand side of pc screen, after you enter username and password, if there is a connection. Does the password screen come up as soon as you click on remote?

When I open DCC it just says "checking ip" then goes "network ok" all green bars.
 
As B16MCC said you can also type box ip address straight in your browser. Maybe you get a proper connection that way.
