Dreambox 500S Freezing

Hi there, my dreambox 500s keeps freezing, it was on gemini but I flashed and changed to pli jade but it still freezes.

Can someone please let me know why this is.

Does it just freeze randomly or is it during boot ? when changing channels or navigating menus ?

Or does it only freeze on the pay channels and you are on a card share. ??

It freezes randomly and it happens on any channels, both pay and free.

I have read that it might be the power supply, any other ideas?

My suggestion is to take the Dreambox up to the local recycling centre and throw it in the electronics skip. Then buy summat decent

Some of the new 500's are spectacularly poor.

You might think this is harsh but we get more folks asking questions with problems with cheap clones 500's than with almost all the other receivers put together!

What is a cheap alternative to the 500s?

You will get the same freezing on any box you buy, whatever price you pay.
