Dreambox 500s installation ?

Information:
I just bought a Dreambox 500S € 78, - OR IS IT A CLONE YES OR NO DO NOT KNOW. I have bought this because I now can not afford to have € 400, - to put down for a 500HD. (Well, I would like to know, how you can tell it's yes or no clone.

Is a 500C better than? because it its db500c (cable) and not db500s (satalite)
The reason why i choose this one was, because one of my family members said to me..

If you must use a 500c, i will cancell my order right now..
