am in canada, MOntreal. I would like to buy the dreambox 600 pvr. I want to now if it can be used here in canada. i'm interested to get some UK channels for horse racing. I want to know which equipment to use and what to buy and which one is gonna be compatible here. I'm just a beginner am gonna need help before I purchase any equipment.

Sorry bud you cant get any European channels apart from anything thats carried on the Yank / Canadian birds.
 
I only need 2 channels for horseracing. The first one is called AT THE RACES and the second one is called UK Channels they both broadcast live horse race.

Perhaps you may 'only need 2 channels' but if the beams are only pointing towards Europe then you will not be able to receive them in your location. Your only option would be to slingbox the channels from Europe via the internet.
A quick google search reveals that you can get the streams over the internet anyhow

Doesnt make any difference - reception is not possible in Canada.
 
There is some delay in the livestream and it is not perfect so satelitte is much better
 
Well it isn't as you simply cannot "see" the relevant Satellites from Canada.

Anyway forget it - satellite reception of those channels is not possible in Canada.
