Hi all,
I bought a DM800 clone some time back and from day one it was always the case that you virtually had to stand 2 inches in front of the box before it would recognize any command from the remote control. I've used a few older versions of Navilosat Blackhole but then I recently upgraded to a Nabilosat 0.11. And stun shock and complete amazement but my remote control now works perfectly. I bought my clone DM800 from another site and I was so close to buying a new remote sensor for the box only to find out that it is not a hardware issue but in fact a software issue that has been solved with the latest Nabilo 0.11 image. So don't be conned into buying something you don't need. I don't know what the Nabilo designers did but many thanks. And 0.11 is one really nice image

its not nabilo that fixed it, but the dreambox drivers
of course the *0.11 included more recent drivers hence the fix for you

welcome to a world where you don't have to getup off your couch to change channels :p lol

I am running the latest version of Pli (and therefore the latest dreambox/Linux drivers etc), and its remote is nowhere near as reliable as that of the DM7025 or the DM600. This is especially noticeable when using it with a Logitech Harmony remote control - it seems to take the same command multiple times, which is annoying when navigating the channel lists, or ignoring them sometimes. At times it can take a long time to respond to a remote command. Sometimes, when you navigate to a channel with a weaker signal (high BER) then it will cause the DM800 to crash/hang. These are the same teething problems the DM7025 suffered in early images, I hope they are fixed soon. A a side note: I had the same problems when running Nabilo and Gemini. The problems do seem to be more pronounced when running the 7 day EPG - it even affects the DM600/DM7025 to some extent.
