Dreambox 8000 HD,
80cm Orbital Satellite Dish
Motorized
LNB with 2 outputs, 2nd output leading to upstairs and using Dreambox 500S.
Pioneer VSX-1018AH-K Amp/Receiver,
My Location
Stockton-on-Tees, Cleveland
do you have to have an harddrive in for it to work or can you use it without and get 1 at later date??
 
You can use it without and get 1 later.
I did with my DM800.
 
so all the setup files, plugins n stuff can still be done without the harddrive but oviously not recording programmes?
 
That's right.
It has some internal flash memory for images etc.
You only really need the hard drive to record.
Even then you could use a memory stick in the USB or your computer hard drive if you wanted.
