Dreambox and network shares

I'm looking at using a Dreambox to replace my Popcorn Hour and Satellite/freeview boxes. The PCH is used as a front end, to view avi/mkv files on my server (SBS2003), which it does quite neatly, and with the minimum of fuss/config.

Getting the DM800 to see the networked drive is a little more problematical. It can't see the network shared drive. Now I've probably not done enough prodding in the DB800 config - but frankly, the GUI and remote is a PITA(!) just navigating around what one does know.

So, I'm presuming it can be done, has anyone connected their DB to a windows network, and if so how?
 
You should be able to see/access/record to any network device (PC/NAS/etc). I'm not sure about the Dreambox but on the Vu+ it is:

Menu -> Setup -> System ->Network Setup -> NetworkBrowser

then all the devices on the network show themselves.
