I have just bought a dm800 on ebay that is advertised as genuine.
I have not paid for it yet as I have asked the seller to run the authenticity test.
He says that when he runs the test he is getting the message "security service not running"
He is running nibilo image & has been told that this is why the test is not working.
If the original image was reinstalled would this allow the test to work.
All the info about paint, screws, modem, power unit etc seem to check out.
Can anyone confirm that an image would interfere with the authenticity test.
I dont want to end up with a clone when I am paying for the real deal.

Pay by PayPal and just wait until the box comes. If its not genuine just report it to ebay and start a PayPal claim against the seller.

DM are constantly working with ebay to get the clones off the site so it shouldn't be too much of a problem to get your money back.

I would also let the seller know that this is your intention, so hopefully if it is a clone he will pull out of the sale :D

I am using the Nabilosat black hole v012 and can confirm that the Authenticity test works, I installed the image and ran it last night and it gave me the details to confirm

However, I went to run it today to check for you and I get the message "Invalid response from Security service pls restart again"

I canceled out and retried and it gave me the 16 character code to input to the website. Maybe the site gets busy or its a bit glitchy. I would get him to restart the box and try a few times and he should get it.
