To backup a single file, just copy it from the Dreambox to your PC.

To backup the image (if you use Gemini) go to Blue Button ? extras/ settings > backup

me kayhell also...wow you dare to use 8ft ar...im staying @flat even with my multidish facing different position my neighbor start querying...weekend only playing with 6ft @ hometown...palapa nowadays nothing much to see..and the signal getting worst...aging sat..
go for yamal la mates..heard lot of xrated..and good movies...heee (intend to shoot over the weekend but lately been busy with other things)
no problem axtr0x dish can get nusantara @ m2 loud and clear...
so far my local cs server no problem(i recommended few friends..no complains) but with nds implementation dont know how they overcome it..stay longer, then we can pm each other...

Remember this

Every time U update Your image in the box ALL Your settings are gone

Always make a backup before U do it.

Remember Your password, it will be reset to root/dreambox
Make a special copy of the config files Always good to have them

Also copy keys if U use them.


BTW, don´t just upgrade for the upgrade. If the box works fine, just let it work

How did you connect to the dreambox using your GPRS or Dialup Modem!

The only source of internet that I have is unfortunately the GPRS modem! Yes I know it's slow and all ... But that's all I have ...

But I would like to try and use it to use my local CS ... I am using Jade PLi and on a Dreambox 500s

Sure, why not even with gprs or dialup 1515 modem u can connect to dreambox.
im using Maxis, With izzi definitely you'll get good connection not like maxis with frequent dc and locked elcheapo modem...heeee

im using 3g modem. but if it is not available, you can use
pc/laptop connected to hp(gprs)/analogue modem(land line) with ics(enable internet connection sharing) using cross Ethernet cable to the dreambox
...hope this helps..
the downfall is, you have to 'on' your pc everytime you want to watch tv...heee

Thanks for your response, I was able to connect and I was impressed ... I left my mobile on the whole day and it worked. Just a few image freezes now and then, but not so many that it makes the channels unwatchable...
