dreambox edit help!

hi guys!

just wondering if this is possible!

what im trying to do is i have my 800 which has all my sats stored and copied to pc using dbedit, i also have a copy of the the sky uk bouquets that b16mcc kindly made!

what i want to do is keep all my sat info that i allready have for all the sats bar 28.2 and to somehow merge the 2 dbedit files together, ie 1 file is just the 28.2 files and the other is all bar that and get a file that has both.

can i merge the 2 files? and if i can how do i do so.

copying the satellite info is simple (i think its one file: satellites.xml, so copy paste content from one file to the other and you are set), but the bouquets requires a little bit more :
you need to rename your userbouquet.dbeXX.tv files (XX is a sequence number) and edit bouquets.tv to point to the right userbouquet.* file
then open in dbedit and see if all was correctly setup, when ok, just save under dbedit and send to dm800

requires some work, but its doable

the best thing is to use the dreamboxedit program for this, you load up one set of channels, and then use the tool "compare with......". It will then compare the two and suggest to you which channels need adding. You can choose whatever you like. You can also use the import feture to import user buquets from one set to another. when you are finished don't forget to use the tool "update satellite.xml with current channels". Check it out
