I have tried to follow the dreambox edit tutorial

http://www.satellites.co.uk/forums/...ial-dreambox-edit-create-backup-bouquets.html

And thought I was going fine, but was just wondering if the file paths have to be changed depending on the image used on the box ? I selected SATELITE RECEIVER as I have a DM500S , and I can receive the files from the box, edit them, save changes but when I try to send the files to the dreambox I get the following message:

Starting FTP transfer
Transfer complete
** Sending file "/var/tuxbox/config/enigma/lamedb" **
Starting FTP transfer
Transfer aborted
Error sending file "lamedb" to the Dreambox.

Am hoping I am missing something simple but all suggestions welcomed!!!

The transfer should have been completed. Reboot your box when that message appears.

...Unless you have the wrong Enigma version in your Dreambox Edit settings. Should be Enigma 1.

Thanks for that, I got it sorted, when I went to opened the B16MCC Sky UK bouquets, they showed as TYPE4, so when I transferred them across they must have been going across as I was able to take them back from the box also.

So the problem was solved by opening the bouquets and then changing the type to TYPE2, saving and then transferring them across to the box.

Might be of use to someone who runs into the same problem?!

Thanks for the repsonses!!

Yes, Type 2 for Enigma 1, Type 3 or 4 for Enigma 2 (which I use for my DB8000).

Glad you're OK now.

Yes, I had set the type correctly but then when I opened the bouquets that I downloaded, it was changing back to type4 (without me noticing of course!!!), so I just had to open the bouquets, change the type back to type2, save the changes and then upload them to the box.

Am sorted (for now!!) I think!!

Thanks again

don't worry sg8, you are not the first and won't be the last to get caught out by this. its not a fault of the B16MCC bouquets, just a peculiarity of dreamboxedit.

guys just a note for you. The type you need is relative to the version of the lamedb file that your box uses. If you do a sat scan yourself your box will create a lamedb file. In the first line of the lamedb file it ends with /4/ or /3/ or what ever.

This is the version of the lamedb and hence the DBEDit setting.

Thanks for that, the bouquets are great!!!
