I've a question (I'm a newbie & my device is DM500s),
What I know is that the role of the Emulators is to open the encryption of the channels & make the scrambled channels to open ones.

As in other receivers as Humax we used to put the keys (manually) & this open the scrambled channels without the receiver connected to the internet.

Then why i need to be connected to a server???

Your Dreambox needs to be connected to a server when sharing keys being distributed by a card sharing server

With a dreambox You can have great fun with the Internet, remember that it is a computer and a reciever.

But You don´t have to be connected, the box will work without internet, keys can be uploaded using a computer :)

Thanks "dig deep" so much for your response.

I'm in the MEA region and interested to watch the Showtime & ART on Nilesat, but i couldn't open it at all.

-Do you know what is the keys used to open these packages?

-If yes, should I update it everyday or there is a keys where i can install to the dreambox that will be automatically updated.

-Is there a key for each channel or one key file could open all the package of channels.

Thanks again.

Thanks "Topper" so much for your response.

I'm happy to be with you in this cool forum.

I've a reply to your response:
If I don't have a local card (or sharing card) to share with others. could I watch any scrambled channels without connecting to a server?

There are no public hacks at present for the Showtime & ART packages.

Only way to get these packages using a Dreambox is CS, but you can't get them with the built in emulators.

Hi

First of all, please update your profile, what model box etc. Then, use the search function and do some reading, most of the basic stuff is already there. There is a very nice xls in the guides that shows you exactly what to do.

Please remember that we only discuss the technical aspect of CS here, any post trying to offer CS will result in an immediate ban.

If you want to watch paid channels in Dream box then you have to add your self in any server. They are the people who are having cards for different packages & they share with each other. Some of them are totally free, Some required money for this purpose & some required cards against adding in servers. I hope now your view will be a little broden now. If need more explanation you can ask it here. The receiver name mention by you as Humax they were running on 1st pin codes & then on software's but now channels are using more & more powerful securities that's why now they are not avaialable on software's so you have to use sharing option
