DreamBox, MaxTV and Viaccess2

Hi.

We've got a DreamBox 500S, a MaxTV card to decode Viaccess2 channels to receive the Romanian channels on Serius (5.0E).
The DreamBox is set up to point to the satellite, but the MaxTV card isn't decoding.
Can anybody help? Is there something else I need to do? :confused:

What emu are you using? e.g. newcamd, camd etc? Did you install the config files (with the emu)?
 
I am very new at all of this.
I haven't come across EMU before and there is no reference in my DreamBox manual.
What is EMU and how can I install or set this up?

Remember the Guide I mentioned in the other post? Please go back and read it a few times.

Basically an emu is some software that you install on your Dreambox and it can be used to decode encrypted channels and also to read a subscription card.

There are 2 ways to install an emu: from the Internet using the blue button or FTPing the emu file to /tmp on your Dreambox and doing a manual install from the blue button.

Little of that will make sense unless you read the Guide and have a go yourself. Keep reading and trying until it either makes some sense or you get stuck, or both ;) But remember- no hammers :D

Try setting up the communication setup first- without doing that there's not a lot that you can do.
