hello im new on this world and i would like to know the basic facts first
i have dreambox 5000 ir and one friend told me that i can set it automatically to receive new codes for nova greece and cyprus ...
how can i do that ?
do i need some special programs?

I'm assuming you mean a Dreambox 500s :confused:

OK as far as i am aware what your friend is saying is complete nonsense :-nuts

There are 2 ways of getting Nova

1. Subscribe to the package

2 Buy a Gamma Card, Programmer and spend a few hours looking for the right file to make it work.

The Dreambox can only open up the same things as any other receiver

If there are no keys available & the encryption hasn't been cracked then it won't open the channels

Irdeto as far as i know cannot be emulated on the Dreambox :-DOH!

The only stuff open on the DM is Rai Italy on 13e, Digi TV on 1w and some of the German cable stuff on 23.5e. There may also be other small bits and pieces :D

If you want to update keys you need to download the Hacksat Keyupdater which is available on the blue button in most decent images :toke:

thanks man.. i thought an automatic program existed on the receiver that connects to the net and downloads the codes without any human intervention
anyway thanks, looks that i need to buy a programmer
