My Satellite Setup
80cm motorised with quad LNB, static 28.2E with quad LNB, VU+ Duo, DM500S, DM500S, DM800HD, Openbox S9.
My Location
Manchester
Hey,

I bought myself a DM800HD and placed it in the same room as my DM500S.

Now the DM500S likes to use the DM800HD remote and not its' own, can I edit the settings in such a way so it starts using its' own remote?

Search the threads - there is a whole section on setting multiple remotes in the same room with multiple dreamboxes.
 
I've found bits and pieces, bit confusing but I'll give it a go.
 
You have to do 2 things:
1. Tell the one of the dreamboxes to use (best would be the DM800) to use the second remote; there is a plugin for setting this up.
2. Program one of the remotes to be the second remote (a sequence of button presses on the remote). I cant remember the exact sequence but it is somewhere on this forum
