Dreambox will not scan

Hi all,
just wanted to pick your brains on an issue i am having with my setup. I have a dreambox 500 attached to a 1m triax with monoblock for 13 e and 19e. It has been fine for a couple of years but as been ofline for a while whilst we have been redecorating the living room. Now i have come to set it up again when i am trying to scan for transponders with toneburst the box always restarts itself as soon as i select scan. At first i thought it could be a tuner fault, but have attached my sky dish and it tuned in fine. Has anyone else had this problem or knows how to fix?

Hi @dayion,

Have you checked for a short circuit on the coax to the monoblock LNB or more likely, directly in the F Plug from the mono', attaching to the Dreambox?

i havent checked as yet, i am using a signal combiner though. could this be causing this?
 
Yes - disconnect it and see if the problem goes away!
