Hi,
Over the last few days I have lost the Epg from Dubai one 11785V 27500 3/4 on 7W on my TM-600 and the same off Dubai one 12130V 27500 off 26E and 7W with my Tm-5400. I put it down to poor weather, but checked early this morning on a lovely clear day and still nothing. So does anyone know if there are any broadcast changes from this provider? or can anyone still pick up the Epg from this channel?
For some reason my TM-600 has never been able to pickup the Epg (dubai one) off 26E but ok on 7W and my TM-5400 would pick the Epg off both 26E and 7W.
Appologies if i have posted this in the wrong section
many thanks

Checked this morning, and I've lost the EPG from Dubai 1 on 7°W as well. Can't check 26°E right now as perversely I can get Nilesat reasonably easily but have a lot of problems with 26°E. I'm waiting for a replacement Black Ultra LNB, so until then I can't give you a reliable report from 26°E

Many thanks for that sonnetpete, Perhaps the broadcasters are changing something. By the way I had a LOT of trouble finding 26E using usals, but after tweaking sat position and setting a position in diseq its now much stronger and is solid in nearly all weathers with the exception of extreme downpours.

I've currently got it set on about 25.5°E, but can't really sort it until my replacement Black Ultra arrives. I also seem to have a slight backlash problem on the motor and am thinking of changing it to a Technomate with metal gears.

Sonnet, I've had a bit of backlash trouble with my diseqc motor over the east side of the arc after some strong winds last year. The easiest way to sort it out is just switch to diseqc 1.2 commands and save the positions. Gravity will keep the dish facing the right way even if the backlash is a few degrees.

Thanks for that Huevos, at the moment it's less than .5° so I'll live with it until later.

Sandybob : EPG is back on Dubai One @ 7°W. Black Ultra replacement has also arrived and has been installed so will check Dubai One on 26°W later, but I think the EPG will be back on there too.

Many thanks for letting me know the Epg is back on sonnetpete, I tried earlier but got a lot of picture breakup mid afternoon, so I will try this evening if weather improves

Just slightly OT, but before the replacement Black Ultra arrived, I was receiving 56 FTA channels from 26°E. After changing the LNB and rescanning I now receive 167 FTA channels!!

Sadly it's a little too overcast here to check on Dubai 1 though I'll try later.

That's another good result for the ultra - well done, I think the MBC beams are the strongest with Dubai one a close second off 26E but that's without a proper meter to check.
I found the Epg is back on now on 7W and 26E

I "accidentally" ordered a 1.2m Gibertini this morning, so cant wait to see if it shows an improvement.

Not strongest for me, probably 'Al Hurra'. Must remember to 'accidentally' order an Andrews CM 1.2M LOL

Get the 1.5m Gibertini, it's got miles more gain and there's a polar mount for it.

Now'n'next and EPG for Dubai One is in Arabic. There is a good online schedule at _http://www.dmi.ae/dubaione/

For me Badr 6 is the strongest from 26ºE. You can get it on a mini-dish from here.

Sadly, I won't be ordering an Andrews or Gibertini anytime soon. Hence the LOL at the end of my post. The money I've invested in the house has rather overtaken the 'must get a bigger dish' fund.

My Tm-5400 "usually" picks up a full Epg off Dubai one 26E (shows mostly in English) but my TM600 will only "sometimes" picks up a now and next! so I normally send it to 7W where the TM-600 picks up a full Epg, sometimes a week's worth, then go back to 26E as the signal is stronger for me.
I have found the Epg on the web to be quite inaccurate sometimes, including start times and programing.
Has anyone actually compared a 1.2m Gibertini to a Andrews/channel master/raven 1.2m. It may be better quality but would it really out preform the Gibertini, and by how much? The thing that put me off the CM is there's no longer a polar mount available (which I think is pretty stupid) I guess diseq motors have taken over.
P.S
Any one picking up an Epg for ABC on 26E, nothing here yet.
