What will be the signal on 1 meter for Dubai one

I have a Gibertini 1m dish and I get Dubai One on 40% quality, dropping to 33% when it rains. I suppose it all depends where you are in the UK. If you look at my avatar, that is my dish with Inverto Black Ultra LNB (motorised). By using a smaller dish, it gets hammered by 28E and you have no chance of getting that channel.

Ok thank you I am in the same Footprint band so I assume I will get roughly the same on 1 meter

I have a client in Roehampton that asked for the best system available at the time for the 26 East slot, based on the planning restrictions and his curtain twitching neighbour.

So, he has a Triax 110 (we'll ignore the second digit error), and a Qattro - fixed port - LNB running to a small switch. All cable is CT125 and maximum length - dish to switch/switch to receiver is about 15m. Receivers are TM-6800s

To date he is getting around 80 channels continuously, with another 25 or so that come in unless it is raining.

as i am in clackmannanshire i am roughly 30 to 40 miles from midlothian. i can get dubai 1 with a signal of 59%. i also get about 200+ channels on 26E. i get a good 72% on 11996 H 27500 and 59% on 12130 V 27500 but i did have to upgrade to a gibertini op125l to get those signals, before on my triax 110TD i would only get bbc arabic around 40%

you are meant to get permission. i have attached a copy of the planning rules. but as long as the neighbours have no issues with the dish then it should not be an issue. as i have a private landlord he is perfectly fine with the dish being where it is as its at the rear of the property

very interesting that you was getting 40% on TD110 & i am getting 40% on BBC Arabic on 75 cm Gibertini

Comparing signal strengths between different receivers is meaingless. On any particular box its just an arbitary figure. Anyway signal strengths can vary greatly over a few miles in fringe reception conditions. Thread closed - this topic is done
