The first day of Spring so the Summer chat starts here. :)

Itys been a glorious morning here - Ive sorted a couple of issues out on the dishes & its even been warm enough for me to have my shorts on for a couple of hours. :o

Sunny here but with a freezing North East wind.....sadly not the weather for T shorts yet...any way, will be on my hands and knees laying laminated flooring till this evening....

For me the good weather started last weekend, in the Lake District - and it held all week. Gorgeous.

Was out in the back shed today, it's mouldy as heck out there (inherited shed, part of the uncle's house, owned by someone who is about as DIY oriented as Jeremy Clarkson), even my power tools were looking pretty rank, but after cleaning them off I managed to get them to start up, the oil in the 4 stroke engines felt thick though (given the shed felt like a freezer, it's hardly surprising!), didn't do much else though, the grass is still asleep so no need to do any gardening as yet... :)

A good day - first day of Spring & Ive seen the first lambs of the year on the farm :D

Last Monday was a lovely sunny day, this week has been a grey overcast cold wind affair........ At least it's stayed dry, that's my "glass half full" take on it so far.

I will be mainly retrieving fence panels later this morning.

I shall be Ringing in a Peal Attempt of 7 Minor Methods at Kirby Hill in a couple of hours time.

Anyone who has the slightest idea what that means is clearly one of us.

My fence is ok, but woke up to a flood in my dining room, by the back door. :-( the wind was so strong last night it had pushed the bottom of the door, just enough to let in the rain water.

Covered half of the wooden floor in water. Now I have my dehumidifier running flat out, finished mopping it all up now.

So it looks like I have a few more jobs to get dun.

(The "like" was one of sympathy)

Makes a change to be able to say this when storms & bad weather strikes the UK but its been a lovely day up here. It rained overnight, but the sun has been shining all day.

And now the flooring is bubbling up :-(
