Help Required dvb-s hd picture is jerky on BBC and ITV channels

Hi everyone,

Just noticed that the Satellite reception on the UK freesat channels such as BBC and ITV have this weird jerky problem when there was any motion on the TV. Even just somebody talking. Even their lips judder.

Makes watching TV distressing.

Is this a problem with the Edision MIO box running OpenVix 6.4, or my 43" LG TV? How can I troubleshoot this?

Presuming HDMI connection?
Sounds like a TV \ mismatch of config between the TV and the STB.
Try changing video setting in the E2 Setup \ Video settings from 576i to 1080i to 2060p - see if it helps.
Leave it on Auto - make sure your TV isnt set to anything weird also.
Dont have that issue on my Edision.

I worked it out.

I changed the Edision from 60hz refresh to 50hz. Judder gone.

In Europe it is 50 Hz. In USA & Japan = 60 Hz.
The mine is 1080p 50 Hz.

I now command you to do the following:
Menu —> Setup —> Usage & GUI —> Customize System Settings —> Desable background scanning = yes
if you do not agree to your children viewing FTA adult channels from 28°E.
Otherwise, the receiver will search by itself from the transponders to see if there are any new channels on them and save them. Undressing girls are beautiful, but ... it is not to be seen from children.

2) Newbie is a derogatory term.
3) Stop using my inexperience with the enigma2 system as a means to imply I lack the ability to use enigma2, and use it as a justification for me to stop modifying or using the Edision, and buy into a simpler receiver. Finally, "I told you not to change things" type statements are rarely helpful.

I appreciate you are trying to help, and your assistance in this matter is appreciated.

On a technical topic: "Desable background scanning = yes". This was one of the first options I disabled. I learnt this from experience with other receivers.

Tbh I have scanned the channels mentioned - briefly - and wished I had not, even though what was on offer was clothed.
