Sorry guys im stuck. Right, I have done some research and looked at stuff on these forums, however, I have a neutrino nokia dbox and it seems to be a little different to what most people have.
The problem is I have a stack of applications, a stack of settings, and no way of puting it together other than trying to translate german (I can give directions to the town hall and count to ten but thats my limit - and man babelfish sucks)
Everything is running through a router (which may be causing problems) but anyway, my setup is:
Dbox: 192.168.0.7 (default)
PC: 192.168.0.2 (dhcp)
router: 192.168.0.1 (the gateway - as setup on both the dbox and pc)
the dbox also has a broadcast address of 192.168.0.255 (any ideas? - im assuming thats a UDP multicast but ive no idea - pings ok)
There are settings for recording where i can setup an IP and a port
There are also settings for movieplayer where i can setup a streamingserver IP and port
Ive been using TuxVision/MTuxVision/VLC/NGrab/TRex and Ive got as far as TuxVision will read all the channels in, but wont preview (PID trouble) and NGrab will show the little green connected icon - but does nothing (except if i hit record on my box, everything goes a bit kaka)
Thats about all the info I have if anyone knows what bits should go where - or what extra sotware I need. I cant seem to get much on the box and I dont know what image is on it just now - its neutrino thats about all i know.
Sorry for being so useless guys, thanks for your help.

UPDATE:
More apologies for my ineptness here. Right, I managed to finally get mgrab installed (and all the codecs) and after 3 hours playing I managed to capture 10 seconds of footage. It seems to only play whilst capturing and then it plays in a totally out of proportion window. To get the proportion back, i have to play a captured file click the little aspect button then go back. But once I do this it stops working entirely.
How do you have Mgrab setup and any ideas, whyt that would work and not MTuxVision? I will have another play tonight and see where it leads. Many thanks for your help with this guys.
