Any ideas on what settings are used for hdd and dvd to mount them?
My dm sees the hdd but when I plug in the dvd, the hdd and dvd aren't recognised. I have tried setting hdd to master and cs.

Which image are you using?
Perhaps you can try to reflash again with both the HDD and DVD connected and hopefully they would both be recognised during the reflash process.
Disconnect all cables during the flash, especially the LNB coax.
Which DVD model are you using?
Perhaps there is a recommended DVD model, as the DVD has to be low profile in order to fit the kit.
