Help , my receiver has stopped receiving broadcasts on any satellite under the frequency of 11681 I get no signal and no signal quality above this it is ok .
Any ideas or is my machine dying ?

Unusual in that either the receiver is still sending 22kHz to the LNB, preventing it switching the local oscillator back to the lower frequencies, or the LNB itself is failing to switch back.

There may be a way in which you can turn off the 22kHz tone in the receiver's menu to check if you can receive the lower frequencies, but the AD3000 LNB menu has mostly default LNB configurations which may not allow you much scope there.

Yup.

Stuck in high band.

Faulty LNB or erroneous settings for same.

Yes as long as you have completely safe access to it.

Before that, this might be worth a try -

In the LNB Menu, have your settings as shown -

LNB Freq Low - 9750
LNB Freq High - 10600
Diseqc - None
Diseqc Port - 1 (or whatever you have it as)
Polarity Control - 13/18
LNB Freq Band CTL - 0/12
KU/C CTL - DIS
0/22kHz CTL - OFF
LNB PWR - ON

This will kill the 22kHz to the LNB, but allow you to receive the low band frequencies. That's of course if the receiver working properly, and the 22kHz isn't stuck on somewhere in its path from the CPU.

(I checked that the 22kHz had indeed disappeared out to the LNB with an oscilloscope).

I think it might be a psu failure in the making, oscillations on the power rails can make the LNB think it is in high band.

Blag another receiver to check before getting the ladders out.

Thanks guys, I bought a AD 3600ip from ebay and it seems to pick up the lower frequencies however Themex.tv has moved to frequency 11471mhz/27500 and my receiver doesnt have that frequency in its memory , any ideas as to how I can access it . The box didn,t have a manual.

Just press the white button, on the remote control, the one with a tick on it, and select add data, then enter the details, or go into the menu and select the option for adding transponders.
What software version is loaded on your Echostar 3600, this can also be located in the menu options.

The very useful Echostar legacy receiver site for manual downloads seems to have disappeared.

I have a PDF for the AD3600 viacess version, which may help for menus etc. -
