edit menu on sky tv guide

My Satellite Setup
sky digital pace 1.2.24
I really want to remove some of the channels on tv guide as they have no parental setting option. Is there any way I can edit the menu? It's far too easy for my kids to access some of the channels I rather they would not. Any help appreciated.

I think you will find that the Sky menu's are fixed. You can only do parental blocks on them.

Many channels dont have parental lock , most of the soft mature content dont! I was hopeing there would be some back door in via rs232 / laptop to edit menus. The old analogue system had something like this I seem to remember...

As part of the rolling upgrade $ly are supposed to be changing the options so that you can do just what you want. Unfortunately if you have a less than popular receiver (like my Sony!) you'll probably have to wait till the end of the queue.

Just like me Paul back of the queue Sony people lol

(I think they leave us until last cos they know our receivers will last longer than others) heh
