A 90 year old spinster lay on her death bed and whispered to the priest, I would like the following sentiment on my headstone.
Here lies Martha Gray, born a virgin pure and sweet.
Lived a virgin every day, had no use for manly treat.
Stayed alone by force of will, now at rest a virgin still.
The priest on her passing relayed this to the undertaker, who also ran the local post office.
The undertaker unfortunately couldn't work out how to get all of that wording on the very small headstone, so after a lot of though, decided to edit it slightly. It read:
Returned unopened.
