Embarrassing Names

My son tells me that one of colleagues is called W(ayne) Anker and the other day my daughter was muttering something about a Sean Beaver. If they're not apocryphal, what must their parents have been thinking of?

In the Czech Republic, every surname has a masculine version and a feminine version so the wife of Mr Pavel is Mrs Pavlova. For foreign surnames you just add -ova to the man's name. You can have a bit of fun with this rule: if Mr Legg marries a Czech bride, she will become Mrs Leggova on her Czech passport; Mr Roll would be married to Mrs Rollova, etc...

And the poor wife of Mr Bend :)
